Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, the world's largest, fully accredited university specializing in aviation and aerospace, offers more than 70 baccalaureate, master's and Ph.D. degree programs. The university's 185-acre Daytona Beach Campus serves more than 5,200 students. As the university continues to expand its academic programs and attract an increasingly diverse student population, Embry-Riddle's leadership is focused on creating an exceptional student experience from the curb to the classroom.
Already providing world-class labs, classrooms and research facilities, Embry-Riddle’s leadership searched for a strategic partner to help them create warm and inviting green spaces to enhance their students’ overall campus experience. With Yellowstone, Embry-Riddle has embarked upon a multi-year plan to bring a cohesive and consistent visual appeal to the campus, reflective of the university’s transformation.
The first project in the campus' ongoing transformation plan was completed in 2013, with the opening of the Jim W. Henderson Welcome and Administration Center. In addition to serving as a starting point for campus tours, the Center provides office space for university administration and hosts frequent banquets and special community events. Our landscape design and construction specialists collaborated with the Embry-Riddle team to select and install landscape materials appropriate for the project, including dozens of tropical palms, colorful ground coverings and annuals, manicured Zoysia turf, and over 13 tons of polished beach pebbles to complement the building's stunning fountains and aeronautically inspired architecture.
