North Charleston, South Carolina
National Landscape Award
of Excellence, 2012
Boeing South Carolina's 787 Dreamliner Final Assembly and Delivery center is a 265-acre site located just north of Charleston, South Carolina. In 2009, Boeing announced that it would deliver its flagship twin-aisle commercial airliner to its clients all over the world from Charleston, setting in motion a massive expansion plan for the site.
In 2011, the Yellowstone Landscape team completed the initial phase of the facility’s landscape installations, including the expansive irrigation system , streetscapes, and walking trails. The following year Boeing extended its partnership with Yellowstone, entrusting the entire site’s landscape maintenance responsibilities to our service team. Also in 2012, our work at the Boeing 787 Dreamliner facility was honored with a PLANET Award for Commercial Installation, recognizing the Boeing South Carolina site as one of the nation’s most outstanding commercial landscape construction projects.By January 2014, a total of over seven million hours had been worked by the project's enormous team of contractors - all without a single lost work time accident. Yellowstone's installation and service teams are proud to represent a fraction of that staggering accomplishment.
